Structured Florals: Creating the Illusion of Growth

Let's be honest, the florals are always the favorite of the day (at least for me).

One of the highlights of this styled shoot is the meticulously arranged florals created by the team at Kmackenzie Designs. Drawing inspiration from the natural growth patterns of plants, Kelsey structured the florals to create the illusion of growth and movement. Delicate blooms intertwine with lush greenery, creating a sense of organic beauty that mirrors the splendor of a garden in full bloom.

The bridal bouquet is exquisitely crafted to be trend forward and includes lilacs, poppies, and ranunculus.

Using a variety of flowers laid atop a backdrop of Lilacs, Kmackenzie designs created multiple pieces that are transitioned from the ceremony set up to fit into the reception install.

I think my favorite aspect of this design is the mixed mediums-- The tulle fabric creates a whimsical feel with florals taking center stage. The forsythia extends upwards to create the aspect of growth and grandeur.

The Tablescapes

To complement the vibrant florals, the table settings from Apres feature a color palette of tan, blush, lavender, and pops of coral. These romantic hues serve as the perfect backdrop for the lavish florals, allowing their natural beauty to take center stage. The luxurious oatmeal velvet linens, blush hepburn glassware, the lilac napkins on top of the honey accent plate with white chargers add a touch of elegance and sophistication. The brushed bronzed flatware accents the china and glassware perfectly. To complete the look, we used white-washed cross back chairs to be cohesive with the venue's aesthetic.

Each detail is carefully chosen to enhance the overall aesthetic, from the intricate floral arrangements that grace the center of the table to the place cards with pressed florals.

The tactile aspects of the table settings are truly remarkable. The textured lilac napkin is folded into a bow, secured with a coral velvet ribbon, all placed on an oatmeal velvet linen. The place cards created by Huntwright Design Co are real flowers! Brandi from Huntwright Design co, has such an incredible talent bringing the aspects of the table design into tangible stationary that screams elegance.

Ceiling install: creating a focal point

The team at Phos created this hanging structure layered with their chandeliers that was covered in tulle and florals.

The Cake

This elegant cake was created by the insanely talented company Hey There Cupcake. The intricate icing details paired with the lavish florals create an exquisite, editable display.

The Cocktails

Specialty cocktails are the definition of luxury. This menu of spring cocktails was curated from the artists at 4 liquid motion. The drinks feature candied ginger and flower petals frozen into ice cubes.

The Lounge Sets

The rented lounge sets are expertly arranged by the team at Rison Design. There are three options for guests to relax and admire the luxury of the event. All while creating and fostering connections.

The Stationary

The invitation suite by Huntwright Design Co is breathtaking to say the least! Brandi goes above and beyond to curate custom stationary and invitations for brides to be. She is the mastermind behind this stunning flat lay design. Here is a great article on what to include in a flat lay design.

The Dresses

Colby John Bridal is my absolute favorite designer for wedding gowns. Colby is a visionary, self-taught designer that has luxurious gowns made of the highest quality fabrics and construction. The model is wearing Winnie from his Atelier '24 collection and the dress on the hanger is Kate.

The Jewelry

Cora Gold fine jewelry is a luxury bespoke jeweler. Cora designed custom pieces for this editorial. The earrings are absolutely astonishing! The opal dangle is trend forward, chic, and definitely not gawdy. We paired the ring with with her stacking band collection found here.

The Beauty

The hair and make-up for this shoot were executed flawlessly! The hair is styled in hollywood waves and the make-up features lilac colored eye shadow on the lids. Hair was designed and styled by Lady Vamp Artistry and the make-up was designed by LHN Beauty.

The Suit

The groom looks so dapper in his black suit from Mens Wearhouse. This is such a classic look with the black slacks, black vest, and black jacket, paired with a white shirt and black tie with white pocket square. So timeless and polished.

The Cinematography and Photography

The photography was executed by Jessica St. George at Everworth Photography.

"The indoor setting makes documenting the immaculate details more challenging with the lack of light. I bring my portable studio to make sure to capture every detail exactly as you see in person"

The cinematography was executed by Anna Stroh at Stroh and Co films. Her immense talent paired with her ability to blend into the setting makes her an outstanding choice for cinematography.

This is the dream team in terms of photo and video. They worked seamlessly together making sure to capture the moments and execute the timeline effortlessly, all while harvesting a positive experience for everyone involved.
